About this Qualification:
The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is a qualification designed to enable you to develop practical teaching and assessing skills (with an option to upgrade to the IQA award) – You will be able to teach and assess anything you are qualified in, whether it is accredited courses or regulated qualifications
Includes:
Teachers Award:
- Unit UET1 – Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education & training
- Unit UET7 – Planning to meet the needs of learners in education & training
- Unit UET8 – Delivering education & training
- Unit UE10 – Using resources in education & training
Assessors Award: (CAVA)
- Unit UET9 – Assessing learners in education & training
- Unit UV30564 – Assess occupational competency in the work environment (assessors award)
- Unit UV30566 – Assess vocations skills, knowledge & understanding

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification.

The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training will enable you to work in a teaching & assessing role and progress on to a broader teaching qualification.

What is Government Funding?
It is a scheme run by the Government to allow people to develop or change their careers. You can have up to 4 funded courses in your lifetime to do so.
Level 3 & 4 – Advanced Learner Loans – Anyone is entitled to this, no credit checks is required. Amount is repaid from your tax once you are earning above £25,000 per year. You can still use this service, even if you have used 1-3 of your 4 credits elsewhere.
For Example “if your salary was £25,725, then your repayment would be £180 per year from your tax or £15 per month” – this information was taken from the Advanced Learner Loan FAQ’s
Eligibility:

- Lived in the UK for the last 3 years
- Aged 19 years and above
