Description
The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF) is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a vocational assessor.
This is a practical-based qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (i.e. workshop, classroom or other training environment).
Pre-Requisites
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification.

- UV30563 Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
- UV30564 Assess occupational competence in the work environment
- UV30566 Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
Duration:
- Registration with VTCT for the Level 3 in Assessing Vocational Achievement
- Enrolment Process & then access to your online theory portal & your assessor
- 1 x Zoom session with your assessor to discuss the theory (as discussed with your assessor directly)
- Online Assignments to Complete from Home
- 2 Assessments (Can be completed in the centre or your own place of work)
Assessment:
Assessments = You will be required to assess students and mark their coursework as part of your assessment
Case studies (assessing) = Yes, you will be required to assess 2 students, twice, in a subject you are already qualified in, i.e., massage, beauty therapy. You can only assess vocational qualifications in a subject you are qualified at the same level as the students you are assessing or lower.
Career Opportunities:
Self-Employment or Employment as a vocational assessor in the subjects you are qualified in.

- VTCT Level 3 – Award in Education and Training (AET)
- VTCT Level 4 – Certificate in Education (CET)
- VTCT Level 4 in Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

You will need to purchase your own equipment (e.g. assessor resources) and we also recommend you purchase a text book to support your learning, a recommended reading list is supplied with your training pack.
